Puck colour itterations. Brandon: Once we figured out what Pucks face was more or less going to look like (A Brian Froud inspired Fairy) colour was the next biggest step to me, since Puck was mostly going to be interacted with from a distance we needed a good colour pallette, he needed to be noticeable from a distance. As for colour inspirations; Midsummer Nights Dream alludes to the Fairy's homeland as india, so we wanted to make a throwback to that, so we took inspiration from Indian Mythology like the gods Vishnu and Shiva. I also looked at how Stage makeup works and how/why it is applied in certain ways, like red being applied to areas that warrant attention (The eyes for example are the most important tools in an Actors Arsenal, so they need to stand out as much as possible.) I applied some red to the tips of his ears as well, just to help the player tell what direction he's looking at and to draw attention to them, as in "Hey look, I'm not human I have pointy ears".
